I find it interesting really.  I mean I know there are a number of problems connected to the few bad bacterias out there and everything.  But there are some things that I never would have thought about and really never wanted to think about.  Metrogel is usually used to treat rosacea.  Rosacea, though Metrogel actually causes redness, irritation, etc is generally characterized by redness, inflammation, irritation, flushing, and otherwise.  I’m not sure which is really worse at this point.  But anyway, it’s supposed to kill off bacteria and help you to achieve greater results in general terms.

But they also use it in the treatment of vaginal infections.  It’s something I never would’ve thought about, but it was apparently approved for that in 1963.  I guess if it works, it works, and that’s only temporary really.  So if you get burned there, it will eventually go away.  With rosacea, you are expected to use it for the rest of your life, being that rosacea really doesn’t go away ever.  I would also think that rosacea systematically makes your skin more sensitive and therefore more prone to irritation in general.  So how this all works out is beyond me.  But apparently, they think it’s better than other options at this point.
