Epiduo has 2 major ingredients that have been used in past acne treatments. But they have never been combined before for a reason. Most professionals would actually recommend directly against ever combining these. They are potentially irritating on their own, let alone when you combine them. It multiplies that possible effect. Unfortunately, with Epiduo, you will find that yes they have clinically proven amounts technically speaking. But they use the bare bones 2.5% of benzoyl peroxide, which just isn’t enough for many sufferers. Many do considerably better with 5% or even 10%, and there are over the counter supplements that have the 5-10% that you will not find here! When it comes to Epiduo, they recycle old ideas and old ingredients that others have used before and treat it like it’s new. The only way in which it is new is in the possible side effects and yet surprising weakness of supposed results.

Epiduo side effects include dryness, feeling of warmth, itching, mild peeling, redness, swelling of the skin, rash, hives, itching, dizziness, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, excessive burning, itching, redness, swelling, tenderness of skin, and extreme dryness.

We would not recommend ever bothering with Epiduo. They rely on a major acne myth to sell their product, because they already know that Epiduo won’t work as well as they would like you to think. Focusing on the “medical condition” part of it is just another way to divert your attention and try to automatically eliminate the competition. Fortunately, there are better options out there.
